Stellan Mörner was born in 1896. Morner married the Russian artist Moussia Plechko in Paris in 1931. During this period his artist-hood was characterized by a pure surrealism, a strong contrast to his earlier focus on post-cubism. Mörner's surrealistic and often dreamy depictions were exhibited in a series of exhibitions in cities such as Copenhagen, Paris and London during the 1930s and attracted much attention.
